Hello fellow CCM-ers... I've owned a CCM'd '05 Pro-stock, and two CCM'd phantoms, and when I saw B.R.'s J2L last night in his Black Friday sale for $350 I figured that was a pretty solid deal for any CCM... (I sold my CCM'd Dye-single triggered '05 Pro-stock for $210 shipped back in June)... ... so in typical gun-whoring fashion, I offered him $340 (cuz I'm a cheap b@stard and my wife told me I could only get it if I made an offer ), he said "let's do it", I paid, and now I have a J2L on it's way to me... I started scouring the threads and the pics and I can't really figure out the story of the J2L (ie: when was it produced, is it still in production, how many were produced if it's not, were they just produced as pump versions of the original J2, etc...). So I guess I'm creating this thread to ask - what's the story behind the J2L? Any info anyone has on the J2L model would be cool... I'm definately not asking anything newb-y like "how does it perform?", "any issues I should watch out for?", etc... IT'S A CCM pump! Thanks for looking and taking the time for an answer

I know it was made after the S6 using a lot of the S6 features and the timeless J2 milling. The J2 was originally a semi if I remember correctly.

Pump only, one of the best full body millings, and they stopped making them IIRC last year? Mine had a birth date of October 2009. The number thing, for some reason 400ish comes to mind, but I think it was far lesser. Hopefully Mel will chime in with exact totals and what not. And a pic for your enjoyment. |

They started making them bact in 2009 right around the time the t2 was kicking into productuon. I picked one up right at the beggining(sn14). There was not a huge demand since it was basicly a milled s6 and not everyone liked the milling. Production was stopped in december of last year I believe. I think that it was intended to be a limited run. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that about sums it up, not sure how many guns were made.

There is a woodland version, desert looking version and 2-3 others. All were 1 of 1 I believe. Edit: ![]() ![]()

The J2L came about because of the interest in the original J2. It is really difficult to find an un-drilled body and the the ones that were not drilled command a high price. So we decided we would remake the body design minus a few details. Mainly the cut throughs and the milled on asa plus the detents. We didn't want to compromise the value of the originals. I can't remember how many were made.Less than 150 I think. Sales were brisk at first then they just died. We decided to close out the remaining 20 something guns. The bodies were made like all of our other one piece guns. Made from solid stock 6061 aluminium.
