CCM Carbon Fiber Barrel: Variations?

Have a specific question on the CCM Carbon fiber barrels.

For some unknown reason, I have a tendency of collection CCM CF barrels.

I just recently picked up a barrel to replace the ones I sold earlier in the summer.

The tip on this one is a whole lot different than the ones I've owned in the past.

Here's the current one I have.

It looks like a milled cage with slots and there is no porting in the tip section.

Here's the two designs that I am familiar with.
1) No porting, milled lines, but no slots
2) Dye-esque tip, porting

And just a handful of pictures I found using google that shows design number one.

So my question is... How many different CCM CF variations are there?

I'm aware of the 12" and the 14" versions that I've owned in the past.

Question #3: How are they in terms of performance (quiet) and how do they compare to other CF barrels?

Here is what I got out of Rod info wise:

There was three different versions we did: hole port, slot port, then no porting in the tip.
Original lengths offered 12”, 14” and 16”
The first CF barrels done had step boring and final style had a taper bore.

As for performance, that is all personal opinion. I use one of our old CF barrels only because it matches my gun....
I have also seen Bill shoot almost just as accurately out of a 6’ piece of tubing as well.

Bottomline, if you think it’s the best it will be.

I sure think they are quieter.

It really depends on the marker you're using it with and what you consider loud.

Here's my old T2 with the one CCM barrel

I have a weird preference for CF barrels.

CCM CF Kit
Freak Kit with Stiffi Front
Deadlywind

I would say the CCM is in the middle of terms of quietness. It is one heck of a tack driver

Really? the smile face is as pic of Russc? WTFFFFF?

That is a Stiffi back.

Jason designed and made the fronts and backs for stiffi carbon.

Later on he made his own design for the CCM carbon barrel

On the last run of about 600 barrels I designed a tapered mandrel for our carbon tubes. I believe they were .690 to .703 that was around 2005/2006 or so.

There are actually some ID tapered aluminium barrels I did around 2001/2003
