FPS Problems with my T2

Ok guys, So I know CCM's are really picky but im completely lost on what to do with mine. I Took it out today and using a pressure tester I set it at 300psi and the ivg screwed in 3 full turns from flush. Took it out back with my paint matched to teh barrel and it was shooting at 15-20 fps over 300. I ended up backing my ivg as far back as possible (with the ivg cover on) and backing my reg out till it would hiss down the barrel when shot. After screwing it in till it would stop hissing i was able to get it down to 295.

Any ideas on what im doing wrong? I dont want to have to take the ivg cover off when im playing so im trying to find a solution.

Any help would be greatly apreceated!

Thanks

If the gun is new, you need to break it in. Same thing happened with my new T2. I was shooting 300+ at first. After 2 games, I was shooting 250 fps and needed to adjust the IVG.

Its not new. I played half a tourny with it (idk why but it was all over the place from 240-290). Ended up using my phantom for the rest. I took it home and relubed it and now it wont drop.

Set your pressure higher, but keep the IVG three turns in. Try 350. The FPS will actually drop.

Here's TF's take on it:

T2 Reg pressure.

he ends up recommending 350 psi, and apparently that's also how they come from CCM stock.

Ok took it up to 350 and that did the trick. Im still shooting any where from 280-290, is there any way to fine tune that or should i just leave it?

You mean you feel the gun is a little inconsistent? Just make sure the hammer is clean, and be sure to use premium paint. Crap paint will always shoot like crap.

280-290 seems like a decent range. That's +/- 5.

+ / - 5 FPS is not bad at all. However great paint and a proper paint to barrel match will make it better. I will wager a dollar that the paint is the issue - it is not the marker.
