leaking down barrel

When I air up my series 5 today it leaks down the barrel slightly. Any ideas?
All I have done since last time it has been aired up is polish the hammer, lug, pump guide rods, cocking rod. So not sure what is causing this. Thanks

Put some air tool oil in the asa and try dry firing it a couple times.

have to ask...did you cock it before airing it up?

is so, and the oil doesn't work, try changing your reg pressure.

Will try this, didnt cross my mind as the marker has been dis-assembled, cleaned and lubed very recently. Thanks

haha yes of course. Its not that large of a hose down the barrel, its just
a "hisss" when I put my ear to the end of the barrel.

the slight hiss could be the reg i believe. i had to turn my pressure up like 1/4 turn and it went away. it was just barely not enough to shut the valve.

Be sure that the valve retaining nut is tight...could be that you didn't seal the valve body and the leak you hear is actually air escaping around the valve versus through the cup seal.

Also, be advised that placing one's ear to the barrel also results in you hearing the blood flowing through your ear...which can sound like a faint leak--it's also dangerous.

haha! thanks TF for spilling the secret of sea shells.

I ran some oil through the marker and dry fired a bit, seems to have stopped it.
Thanks guys
