I am not sure what you mean by adding consistency by adding pressure. I run some of my CCM's at 350 input and some at 300 - My T2 likes 325 for some reason - and I have never seen one more 'consistent' than the other due to pressure.

I am not even sure of a theory that would support that - share with me your ideas on the topic.

Thanks,

TF

Not that a stock Phantom is usually more consistent than a well tuned sniper just because they run on higher pressure. But Craig Palmer has mentioned this on occasion... Where better consistencies are much more common on a regulated system that is set up with slightly higher input from after its sweetspot.
I'm not gonna contest that Jason.
We all know Palmer built their reputation on regulated air pressure equipment.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

Okay - THAT makes sense.

Sweet spotting - and then bumping a little over to make sure you don't starve the valve in rapid fire.

Got it - that is why I was asking - just wanted to get your logic there.

Sorry for anyone thats actually following this and not getting a response back from me. It's actually been a while since i was able to get on the field and I finally got out there this past sunday. I estimated around 100 balls through my S5 with a full 13/3000 tank. My reg is set at 300 so I'll try bringing it up to 325 or 350 to see if i get better results. My next field date is may 20th so if anyone is still following this I'll have another update after that date. Thanks again for the help!

Agreed with splat on this one - bump it up to 325 - the valve will close a little faster and should be a little more efficient.

Do me a favor - list everything below:

1) Barrel type
2) Paint type
3) Weather during test
4) Setting of the IVG (how many turns in).

Hell - even pics of the marker might help us.

1) deadlywinds fibur barrel with .684 freak insert
2) Valken redemption pro
3) 65 degrees, no wind, no clouds - beautiful day!
4) IVG set approximately 3 turns in - velocity was around 280-285

Finally got out on the field today! I got all new internals for the regulator from CCM - that helped out a lot with efficiency improvement. I think the old internals were originals from when the marker was made, they definitely showed signs of wear. I also increased the pressure to 325 which seemed to help too.

My attempt at sweet-spotting was a bit sloppy. Hopefully tomorrow I can make a better attempt.

Thanks again everyone for the advice! I think this case can be considered closed!
