Okay - I tested this guide rod on a T2 and a S6.5 - no difference.

I think this was an anomaly- that J2L is a little screwy at times. But - it may be something else - so...

I have two of these bored out guide rods. If someone is willing to trade me a fluted guide rod for a bored out round guide rod (it has to be off a S6.5, T2, J2L, or S6) and give it some further testing - I will be happy to trade.

The reason I want to trade a fluted - is because it is easier to take more meat off a non fluted - and thus - a better test. I will keep one test rod - and you can have the other - and I will have a comparison rod.

Okay - so I bored out one for a Series 5. 1.2 ounces taken off the weight - no difference in FPS - that I can really measure.

I swear I feel the difference though....

A full OZ is a lot of weight really. Just the weight savings alone makes it worth doing.

How about efficiency gains? Can you tell if you're getting more shots per unit of air or any such?

I will have to do much more testing. I think on the T2 it will make the most difference - but I may be wrong.

That T2 of mine is so very light. Bored out pump handle - slim frame - it just doesn't get any lighter in a pump gun really.

I agree, a stripped down CCM with a 13/3k and a Winchester is amazingly light, I let people try my setups and they always say how light they are. I don't have slim frames or bored or milled handles either.

I have the Winchester feedneck for it - but I use a sport shot - and a 45/4500

I can't use the 13 CI - it is just too small for me - but I can't even imagine how light THAT set up would be.

I usually use a 13/3k and an APP 50 rd on my S6.5, it's really light. Around 4 lb with a full hopper.
