Stainless steel doesn't just snap at this thickness unless there is a material issue. If it was cast or forged, there's a possibility, but these are turned from round stainless bar. Also sharp edges tend to be a breaking point, and these rods have a nice round to it.

If somehow you could exert enough force on these while on the marker to bend them, your going to have more broken parts the. Just a guide rod, like pretty much everything else besides the body and frame but they would also be damaged from such force just not totally ruined, hopefully. As far as being a pump kit guide rod, they could be aluminum and still be plenty strong. I am thinking on picking one of these up purely for the weight savings.

I did because of the weight saving, I'm excited if there is any diffrence to the normal rod... fps-wise.

Just put mine on. There is a noticeable weight difference for sure but once installed I couldn't tell. Haven't chronod yet.
