That is a rail I made.

That set up shoots 83 yards by aiming dead on.

Bill and et al,

Sorry if this has been disclosed as I only lurk from time to time on this thread. Is there any eta (even conceptual) of a mag fed option? Is it still even an idea at this point? Or totally in the project graveyard?

A mag feed is still on the table.

We just picked up a real handy item to test the SR1. (for our real steel too)

This is a real no bullsh!t rifle rest. The Caldwell Lead Sled.I got it on ebay $187 shipped. That saved me $61 over the local big box gun store.

This is built really well and has the CCM seal of approval.

It would be a little heavy to carry into the field (lol) but at home or on the range it is really solid.

For the first time we were really seeing how capable the FS were.

We will get some film as soon as the wind dies down. We were shooting in the wind yesterday and had some really encouraging results.

Bill,

That is very cool for zeroing the rifle and should net you the most accurate results possible. I would suggest 20 meters for zero, 5 shot groups of 5, then have some fun. On another note, I would also make a suggestion that the SR-1 come standard with "that" rail. It appears to fit and out of the box what other manufacturer can state their marker shoots 83 yards? No one! In essence you just built in a distance multiplier.

I am almost finished with my SR-1 FSR zero and distance range. My method is very simple and will allow me to mark my Tiberius FSR dial at distances of 25, 50, 75 and 100 yards. Once I get the SR-1 dialed in for these distances I will then be able to test my true sniper abilities of visually ranging targets. Once I have this down, watch out cuz I'll be tagging you every game!

First Strike results with the CCM SR1

Well, we got a slight reprieve from the wind today. There was a light breeze but we did some FS target shooting anyway.

We were shooting 77 yards from our new Lead Sled rifle rest.

I shot 14 rounds with 11 hits holding within a 12" square. I would pick up another 2 hits if I increased the square to 14" (they hit the target holder top right.

One hit was 10" low from center at 6 o:clock but still a kill shot.

We have been working on our own special barrels and I am quite pleased with the results.

here is a pic of the results.

All of my shots were hitting top right. I adjusted the Lead Sled to the left to move my point of impact.

I have know doubt we can tighten this up.
