Sounds good. I was going to grab a spectre length as well. Price sold me on the carbine one I got. I love the diamond design on the handguard. It's large enough as well without being too bulky.

Even with the barrel you have I think the marker would look nice. It'd have the "rifle length" appearance without the rifle length size, which is much longer than the spectre sized handguard. plenty of room for sensible gear as well.

Super freak and an apex tip? Do it. Get some footage. I'd like to see the apex in action. As well as some sr-1 action

As an aspiring future owner (second run), have a couple questions. I'll be using this as intended as a first strike rifle:

- Barrel: I like the sound of the Hammerhead 20" rifled or the EndGame compression barrel. Thought I've heard the latter is hard to come by. Any thoughts on that or other barrels of comparable performance?
- free floating hand guard and barrel nut: I've seen some of these for sale and the description says something about the barrel but. Are these typically included with hand guards, or should I pay careful attention to whether or not I'll need to add one separately?
- castle nut: what size on this fella?
- comm spec buffer tube and stock: any recommendations on where to find a decent selection of stocks? I've been searching on bravocompany dot com and found a bunch of MagPul products, but I'm interested in something unique and different

Thanks in advance for the help, I don't own any real steel so a lot of this is new to me.

I am having really good shot groups with the hammer head battle stick 14".

Its a 100% hit rate at 70 yards.

I think Trinity need to chime in here.

Agreed, I think Trinity is the only person we know of that was able to get the 20in HH from Caratech. Hopefully they will become available in the future cuz I just wanna try one out.

I am wondering is anyone has tried this barrel out, it's inexpensive, ported and rifled the correct direction for FSR. $40.00 shipped.

Let's start with the barrel question. After some initial testing I would have been willing to bet money that the 20" Hammerhead from Carmatech was going outperform my 14" Hammerhead Mojo. I tested both of those barrels (along with Others) extensively. Bill and I shot them inside while the gun was mounted to a Lead Sled. The 20" Hammerhead tested just fine but the 14" Hammerhead was better. A lot better. Not to mention you don't have to contend with the extra barrel length and weight.

I still believe that when it comes to the SR1 that the 14" Hammerhead barrels are really hard to beat.

Hey Trinity have you tried the barrel I linked above? Oddly it is marketed by Trinity, not you.

Very interesting! I do love the look of 16/18" barrels, so dare I say I'm disappointed that a shorter length performs better! Oh well, can't deny the facts!

Hmmm this is a tricky subject because I believe barrels perform differently in different environments. However my paradigm is due to my vast experience with traditional paint balls and not FSR. That being said, from what I understand Trinity has shot more FSR than most folks out there so I defer to his opinion. That doesn't mean I still don't want that long *** barrel just to have it.

I have to ask, Trinity did you get a Polaroid of the Carmatech 20' in HH on your SR-1 for blog sake?

Your hope about 16" or 18" barrels remains alive. I have not shot a Hammerhead in either of those lengths. I like the 14" barrel and the 20" barrel results were disapointing so I haven't felt the need to purchase these two barrel lengths.

If I get my hands on either I will certainly run the appropriate tests.
