Not to get too science-y here, but what kind of sound signature are you giving off? Covering every last bit like you have seems like it would make you invisible at normal shooting distance.

So will I need an adapter to use a ac threaded barrel ?
I am looking to get hammerhead battle stick barrel and was wondering
if they were made with ac threading? If so what sizer should I get? The 686 is the one I am leaning towards?

Bill,

Can one mill the "flutes" off of that shroud? I like the diamond milling one but I wouldn't swagger jack Donut and Dm. Next up would be the round milled shroud.

Bill had made an AC barrel adapter for these. This lets you use and AC threaded barrel but not with the sizing shells.

As for the bore of the barrel that will work best for you that is still up in the air. I use a .683 that works well but is a bit louder due to the higher pressure required. Others use .688 with good results. No matter which you decide to use this is the most consistent platform I have seen in my limited experience.

it seems Bill is getting quite the line for a run of Rifle bodies. I personally admit it's surprising there's more people who are interested in making themselves known now than before

I'm mainly using the stock barrel with the .686 sizer. The stock barrel is AC threaded but it's throat is milled a little different to accept the sizers. Bill also made an AC adapter for regular AC barrels but you can't use the sizer with that IIRC.

So the rifle is not ac threaded.
What style of threading does it use then?

It comes with the stock barrel which is unique to this platform. this barrel allows the use of the sizer shells. It is basically a modified cocker barrel as described above.

I bet that is one quiet shooter. I really wanted to like my whoosh but it's a bit tight on the FSR. I guess I could break out a flex hone, but alas it has been gifted to my son for his new Tacky-Dux.

We don't have a Db meter so I can't check it. At 70 yards I could hear almost nothing. But I am listening for it so that's not a fair assessment.
