Just thinking out loud in text format.
Or you could just talk to Alpha434 and get some barrels rethreaded with no need for a minimum order size...

Ok, I cut down a sizer so an AC threaded barrel fits.

It does fit but the bores don't line up. That is why I counterbored my barrels.

I had to take a 1/2" off the sizer.

So, if you want to use a AC barrel you have to cut .250 +/- .002 off the end and counterbore .250dp. x .782 +.000 -.002 for the id.

or

Our other option is to make a longer breach and put another o-ring on the shell to center it to the barrel.

The barrel modification sounds the least expensive.

I would still like to see a magic barrel. If there is I will make a breach for it. It has been our limited experience that FS is a 100% 1shot kill at 60 yards.
From 70 to 100+ yards is the iffy zone and of course the accuracy degrades the further out it goes.

I personally don't think there is a magic barrel but strictly from a visual stand point Hammer Head barrel rifling twist appears to match the fin angle on FS rounds closer than anything I have seen.

I really want to see something good come out of this.

FS is is the first paintball projectile that has given us a real goal for attaining accuracy in the game of paintball.

I think someone sooner or later will hit on something that will work really well.

Then of course the projectile will become the issue again and so the circle goes.

Even in real steel its the barrels and bullets.

I always think of paintball as arched ball launchers. Not bullets.
It's going to be trial and error for each of us. I've done some modification to my internals. So yes mine uses a slightly simple set up.i get way more shots per 12g than what I'm seeing you guys are saying.(no I'm not telling of what was done don't ask me what I've done to it I did things that some of you would never attempt to a new prototype it's R+D.) my marker defiantly shoots different than when I got it.
You won't fully know what will work for you till you actually go play with it. Trust me.
Ok, cuz you know what I'm thinking seeing the angle of the rail........I'm just sayin.

That Lapco fsr barrel is the best for shooting first strikes, but you can't shoot regular paint through it.

Also sounds like the lapco fsr barrel needs a LOT more pressure to get a round through it at 280fps than the hammerhead.
