I'm still anxiously waiting for the second run as well.

Bill: When you say magazine fed, will it be a removable mag or built in like a Mosin Nagant?

I can't speak for all the other folks, but having 3-5 rounds ready at one time is definitely nice, but if it's built in you wouldn't have buy extra magazines or develop the mag releasing system. Just pop several in, shoot, pop several more in, shoot some more.

I see no need to convert to a mag feed.
It takes skill to rock the SR-1 its not a marker for everyone.
I know I don't want to have to buy ten mags just to play a game it can get costly.
There are plenty of mag fed markers out that are easily obtainable and work fine.
The SR-1 is in a class of its own and if its mag feed your looking for then it seems that the SR-1 is not what you should be looking at.
I know I have no interest in a mag feed bolt action marker. Especially not at $1000+ for one.
Bill just nailed it with the price thing. It seems to me that people need to work on their first shot accuracy and work on that skill first other wise the SR-1 would be just an other marker on the market.

Just a FYI I stopped useing oil and switched to a dry silicone lube that sprays on wet and dries to a white powder so you see your application easly no more "sandy breaches" and no more scratched bolt. also used it on the reg. I actually had to crono down after applying it.
Give it a shot and let me know what you guys think. So far so good with mine.

I think a mag fed semi-auto would be a lot of fun but the cost of feeding it would eventually be its own demise in the gun I grab to go play with.

I think it has its place but if people think $80 for 2000 paintballs are expensive they certainly won't be buying 1000's of rounds of FS. do the math. .35 x 1000= $350 Thats 4 cases of expensive paint. And when you shoot paint thru you FS gun it becomes just another paintball gun and you lose your advantage.

Yes we will build a mag feed but it probably won't be a semi.
Actually, this is EXACTLY what I want! Mag fed, but bolt-action. I am really looking forward to seeing it, where do I sign up/get in line?!

I used to play with a MacMurray Marauder I fashioned into a stock with bolt action, and it was really fun but still had that unsightly 50 rd hopper on top. My next thought was to try and replicate the First Strike-modified AT-85 over in the ATS forum, but although it works (mostly) for that user, it's not an optimal solution. That's why I'm so glad to hear CCM is pursuing a purpose built model. It would be really nice to see mag fed using these cartridges, what an incredible marker that would be! And that would still set it so far apart from other markers...

Are you also considering the use of the to-be-released Scarab Arms rounds? Are they the same exact parameters as the First Strikes?

I'll be watching with interest, and ready to sign up for one of your future mag-fed SR models!

I am thinking a removeable mag. A fixed mag is a good idea. I really won't know till we get into it.

Our current rifle will work well with all ammo because of its design

Yes I would like to try some Scarab rounds.

That's right about the skill.

We just can't build that into a gun.

I made those on a request basis.

Thanks for all these consistent updates! I think a removable mag with about 5 of your cartridge rounds would be slick. Would look something like Browning BAR mags, maybe.

Several rounds in a magazine is a nice balance between giving some more uninterrupted playability without compromising the skill level of the user. Ultimately you're the designer and will figure out what works, I'm sure!
