It's like waiting to buy a Porsche but you want to hold out till they put a Chevy motor in it.

Right now all I need to use the SR-1 is a pouch to hold FSRs and 12 grams in.

If you make it mag fed you need to have a vest/belt of some sort to hold all your mags in. Not to mention the cost of the mags which would be at the cheapest $20 a piece. (going by Hammer 7 mag prices. So were talking $30+ for CCM to make them)

Leave it the way it is. Trust us on this.
Why would you assume the mag would be removable? I would suggest making the mag stationary, spring loaded, 5 rounds max, loaded via breech like the current set up with the bolt action doing the ejecting / re-feed.

I could see the SR-2 looking very similar to current the SR-1.

I ran across this article this morning. Interesting. Rap4 has made a gun for this round

A less-lethal alternative to paintballs and rubber bullets: Smart rounds

This looks like the official press release.

The marker is actualy the MCM K1 ($1600 MSRP) that is branded and distributed by RAP4. The marker was years behind its release date.

The red one looks like the round that Scarab has been showing around.

Are the rounds all coming from the same place? Just branded with a different name.

Just in case you folks missed it I finally did my first write up on the SR-1.

I choose to go the opinion rout rather than write a full fledged operational review mainly becasue I have not had the opportunity to play with First Strike rounds. Come to think of it most of my reviews are opinion oriented.

Enjoy

DSA, cool write up, it was an enjoyable read! Of course now you've made me even more envious of you SR-1 owners! I'll keep watching with great interest for the next run of these!!! I've already started saving my pennies :-)
