Hydro dipping and marker tolerances

We have all read the horror stories regarding markers that have been annoed multiple times. I'm wondering what difference the hydro dipping process has on tolerances, if any.

I'm wanting a very cool and unique S6. There are some very nice ones available, but all at near new prices. I'm wondering about just ordering new in dust, then having it hydro dipped, or buying an ugly one and doing the same.

well any threads in the marker will have to be chased with a screw to get the film out of the threads and when i put capt_cupcakes marker together i had to remove some film from the trigger hardware area as long as you take your time and make sure the threads come clean it should be ok

Are the ends of the body and barrel blocked while the dipping is done?
