The quad rail is a Daniel Defense Omega Rail. The rail comes in three different lengths. It sounds like you want the shortest (7") version. I would suggest that you get the Mad Bull version. It looks identical to the original, licensed by Daniel Defense, and is about 1/2 the price. It is a free floating rail that attaches at the delta ring. I have the 9" version and love it.

Now that is good information. I have been looking at rail options and just not willing to pay the price for what I liked. I looked up the Mad Bull website after I read this and was glad to see things priced a bit more reasonable. I was not looking for real steel performance for this thing.

Anyone want to trade their SR1 for a real AR? I am regretting selling mine to build a real one right now slightly. Maybe i should get ahold of Bill, i finally have something else he may want in trade haha. Doibt i will part with them but thankfully, its now much more of a PITA to own real firearms for me, i wish i still had my camo S6 and SR1 a little more. I am enjoying following everyone elses builds and experiences with them. Wish there was more.

A real AR is a valued commodity on gunbroker right now, but SR1s are rarer yet.

As Trinity eluded in his latest blog post Winter Duldrums, its slow and it appears as if the SR-1 news has slowed to a frozen standstill. I am as guilty as anyone but spring is just around the corner so what have you hibernating snipers been up too...prey tell.

I have been using mine alot in the Cousins winter scenario games.... I had more issues with fogging scopes then the gun itself.
