End of my hunt!
Thank you to everyone who has been on the lookout for me to help me track down an S6.

While doing some browsing in the buy/sell/trade section, I saw a picture of a beautiful gloss black S6 that someone was offering as a trade for another marker. Thankfully, that trade didn't work out.

This S6 isn't perfect, and is going to need some work, but that's completely fine. I paid a decent-ish price for it, and and will just bite the bullet and order the parts I need from CCM.

The current 45 trigger frame doesn't use the keyhole type screws to attach to the body, and that is a bit unsightly. Also, this one uses the ball bearing and spring to retain the AT cam, and from the sounds of it, those are history, as the cam moves around quite a bit. I think that I'm just going to order a new 86 black trigger frame for it. Does anyone know if I will need to order a different AT to go with it?

Thanks to zen-master TF and his great videos and manual, I'm going to do a complete teardown when she arrives next week, and see what else may be lurking in the innards.

It also goes without saying that I know I can always give Lori, Mel, and Rod a call if I'm ever in need of parts, assistance, or moral support for the day.

Thanks again for everyone who has been watching ebay, craigslist, and MCB for a great S6 for me. This is exactly what I wanted. Thanks to CCM as well, you're the best in the business!

lol didn't you recently trade for a factory anno woodland S6? and now gloss black s6?

I did, and we ended up trading back. I've been looking for a gloss black S6 for many months.

This makes little sense.

Double check the frame - some people didn't know about the keyhole frame - and thus put LONG screws through the outside. I have never seen a ball bearing frame that did not have a keyhole - the only ones they made were for the Series 5 and those didn't have keyholes OR the ball bearing spot - and they were only dust - and didn't have the scalops toward the back.

Also - the ball bearing and spring design worked just fine for me. You had to be careful when taking it apart - but they worked fine. I would buy a few extras for your kit - and leave it.

If you do switch them - you WILL need a different Cam and Arm - simply sell you .45 with the cam and arm - and you will almost break even.

Broch - Feel free to PM me when you get it - if we need to talk on the phone - that is fine - we will get you up and running with little issue.

Gloss black over the Camo?? For shame! Haha, glad your happy with what you have but that camo one was amazing, i miss it.

I should have kept it, for sure. I panicked about letting my R7 go, then figured out that it wasnt for me.

Hopefully i can get it back someday. Of all the markers i have sold, that is definetly one i would like to have back the most, followed by my J2L, T2, S5 and my other SS25 i have sold recently. I realized i didnt need so many CCM's at one time, but i sure miss them.

Something tells me in a few months you'll be hounding me for a sister for it....

After looking at the photo - it is a thin frame - that makes more sense. Sell it off - order what you want - problem solved.
