ccm s6 shot drop off problem

Well I ment to address this problem earlier, but i go to a military school and had a bit on my plate lately so havent gotten around to it.

Heres the problem: I set my new S6 just how Talfucres guide says to the T, just like I had my previous S6 set. Gun is lubed, been cleaned and all. Now the bad part, when im playing sometimes I'll get massive shot drop off where it will drop off until the gun just wont shoot anymore. this also happen if i let the gun sit for a few minutes or so without shooting it. The only remedy i have found is turning my asa off then on. I've searched every thread on here and pbn and am just as confuzzled as when i started my search.:bang:

Any help with this problem would be much appreciated. I will be able to get weekend leave this weekend, so I will get a chance to get at my marker to try any fixes stated.

Thanks in advance,
Matt

Sounds to me like the hpr is creeping. Same thing happened to my sniper, rebuilding the reg did the trick.

Also - check that your ON / Off is not too tight and closing off the tank valve - however - this is rare with CCM pins - and I would wager Chappy is right - although this has never happened to me.

Please let me know if this worked - In fact - if you have a reg tester - put it on there - and let it sit. You will be able to watch it creep.

If that is it - I will add it to my manual.

By the way - the small o-ring on the top is your culprit if it is creeping. However - I would just rebuild it once you are in there.

Update: rebuilt the reg, shot for a half day of play without incident. For bow the problem seems to be fixed. Maybe not enough lube put on certrain prings would be my guess, lathered it on this time. Will update is problem persists next time im out.

Thanks everyone

Never put grease on the smaller top o-ring - if you did - that could have been your problem as well.

so is this the same issue as my little brother is having on his 6.5?

when he AT's by the 4th or 5th shot you see a major fps drop, if he keeps going it gets down to a ball rolling out of his barrel

i was guessin either his valve isnt opening fully or his reg is dirty

guess i go look at his valve :)

I would wager it is NOT the valve...

Check trigger wear... but that is unlikely.

Clean the bottom tube, check that reg with a reg tester and snap the slide check a few times and see if you can replicate the problem.

Keep us up to date on your process.

Had the same thing happen to my S6 last weekend, haven't looked into it yet, though.

I put a fellow players' brand new ccm reg on my reg tester since he was adjusting his t2 velocity thru the reg instead of ivg. I reset his reg to 300psi and noticed that the reg would shoot-up to 500-550psi quite often when pressurizing and depressurizing quickly (using a POPS) when checking how it recharged. He did say he had shots that the ball barely rolled out of the barrel.
