update!

came into the shop early today

Drilled all 8 cross holes!
Chamfered 4 parts both ends
Tapped 1/8 npt threads on 4 parts

all 8 testers are finished, except for the knurling

looks like they are too big OD to fit in the little cnc's to knurl, and i'll have to do em manually on the big engine lathe, not the end of the world, but will take a little longer to do

pics on sscfb!

Update!

just finished lunch, and went back to my desk, gassed up the Reg Tester, she works!

Now... the only gauges i have are the cheapo 32* 0-1200psi's

need to order up some gauges (or just sell em without, thoughts?)

she did work, and no leaks, you can even press the valve pin down, and it will do a quick purge/relief/burst whatever you wanna call it

still need to knurl....

mcmaster has 0-400psi gauges

Shock Resistant 1 1/2" gauge 0-400 $9.80
3793k21

Multipurpose
1 1/2" $10.84
3846K2

2" $11.69
3846K431

thoughts?

I think you should get the cheapest 1.5/2inch gauge and offer it as an option for a few bucks more. Some people might want to use a more expensive gauge that they already have, while some would be fine with a simple gauge option.

the 32* gauges run about $3
the shockproof mcmaster was $9.80
the multipurposes were $10 and $11

so its all the same ballpark

Testers are gonna be $15+gauge+shipping

so $25/26/27+shipping

they all say they read out +/-2%

Ryan... I'll take one with the gauge, whichever you decide to go with. Better is better but whatever will be fine by me.
