EZ grip issue

So I just recived a EZ grip from CCM's online store. the issue i've run into with it is it drags on the guild rods. I've checked to make sure everything was aligned right and that there wern't any other issues. any suggestions on how to fix the issue? Just to note the drag is so bad the pump return spring will not push the pump handle forward. I know it is the pumphandle because when i put the stock one on there is no issues. Any help would be awesome because i want to have my bro's Karni at top notch performace this weekend.

Which part drags on the guide rods? Plate or handle?

the way it looks is it's more of an alignment of the two. The plate rides smothly without the handle and the handle rides smoothly without the plate. I thought of taking a file/sand paper to the inside of the handle but somehow it just seems sack religouse

I would disconnect the pump handle from the rod that connects to the back block. If the pump stroke is smooth you know there is an alignment problem.

I had some binding when I had a hitman plate on my S6. A little bit of oil (a drop or two) vastly improves smoothness and speed of the pump stroke.

If you post a picture we may be able to offer more assistance.

Can you post pics of where it rubs?

ah ha!!! perfect. never would have thought of the oil (well that and losening the screws just a little bit) now we're cooking :) thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to come up with somthing harder for my next project ;)

At times the guide rods can be slightly out of alignment to each other. I have noticed that each pump kit is a bit of its own beast.

Tweak the small guide rod if you have some rub and see if that helps.

It sounds like the bottom rod is slightly out of alignment. This would make sense as the bottom rod is threaded and thus depending on where the rod finally rested on the teardrop plate it could be slightly out of alignment and need a little tweaking. I have done it on nearly all my pumps to make them perfect - but I am anal. ;)
