The J12 (at least on the prototypes) trigger frame is wider than the 86 trigger frames on the T2/S6....IMHO, if you shot one, you would be sold on it!

Hmm. I've never been a fan of grip sleeves (they one's I've tried on real steel tended to slip) but that may be at least a temporary solution to not being able to use the Hogue CZ grips.

I shot mine for the first time yesterday. I need to adjust it I believe bc I felt like it was shooting soft, velocity wise. but while I was shooting I got a leak, a lot of air was leaking down the barrel when not cocked, and leaked within body when cocked. but it stopped after about a dozen shots or so. any insight on this?

Something like Talon Grips for Glock, XD, XDM, Kahr, Ruger and Kel-Tec Pistols. Free Shipping! rubber texture option might work well for a little extra thickness and grip. You ought to be able to find sheets of the stuff to make custom grips pretty cheaply. I use these particular ones on my CM9 and haven't had any issues with the adhesive peeling. I also don't really like grip sleeves.

Using this would mean you could not take of the panels to get to the grub screw that affixed the T-Rail.

Well you can, admittedly it takes a little extra work (just heat them up a bit and you can remove/reapply them at least a couple times without ruining the adhesive)

If all you want is more grip then the Talon grips look like a great idea. Heck just go to your local skate shop and get some grip tape and stick it on the panels, trim to size to fit the panels and then replace onto your frame and youre good to go. Clear would even show the color of the ano'd aluminium. Its not bad and gives it some decent grip, I like thinner frames even though I have big hands.
