Christ. One small bit of scotch tape would solve your 'problem' with this marker. However, I have never had one of these pins fall out when I wasn't filming. I simply take off the grip frame with a little care and set it down. Besides, all CCM markers come with at least one of these pins in them. They are standard and I do not hear a lot of people complaining that they have lost a bunch of them. It really isn't something to worry about. Mostly I just left it running and ranted to make fun of myself and mess around with Mel, Bill, and Rod at CCM.

I was pulling off the grip frame, ala upside down style because that's how I service all my CCMs... or so I thought with the J12.

Bam goes two of them stainless pins. One caught onto the mat and the other bounced on the ground. I spent maybe a good ten minutes looking for that sucker, it's annoying. I love the pin retention system which is better than the god awful ball and spring retention, but man.... they need to use the longer sized pins.

Mel married Rod because he's a good looking man!!!

A magnet works well in finding the pins. A large magnet that is. Like the ones that hold automotive tools.

Harbor Fright carries a variety.

Agreed Bill - Again - just a blooper to have fun. Did you think my impression of you was close at all?

The thing I normally use is a 'cow magnet' - but I couldn't find it just then. When I did it stuck no issue.

I have been known to keep guitar strings that are about the same size in my tool kit just in case I lose the pins on my CCMs :P
