It's possible the cocking rod is bent too, sometimes the aluminum ccm cocking rods get bent and cause it to feel like it's binding but it's really grinding on the velocity adjuster.

Happens with the back block and ivg removed.

I'll fire up the dremel tonight. I feel terrible going to town on such a petty gun, but she needs some love.

I try to avoid the suburbs at all cost. I did find my 600 grit paper last night but I had other husband duties including snaking a drain (in no way a sexual metaphor sadly) and fixing a shower door.

Should be able to get at the S-5 tonight.

Sometimes finding a good steel IVG (not the aluminum one) with oil and running it through the threads will take the bur down and solve the problem. Good luck.
