SR-1 Dual Gas Combo

Bill,

I am wondering if you guys have tried running both Co2 and Compressed air thru the SR-1 at the same time and if so did you see any spikes in fps? I am waiting on a new chrono before I post some stuff up but thought I would get a thread started on the idea.

Test platform: SR-1 / full 12gm & compressed air. I figure it won't matter much but once depleted would the 12gm act as an expansion chamber? Just thought this might be a fun topic if anyone has tried it or is planning to.

No we haven't.

I'm not sure what it would accomplish mixing gases. I really don't no enough about the science of it.

We did shoot a FS with propane one day and was able to shoot it over a 100 yards with ease. And we didn't ignite it either. It was based on the same principal as airsoft guns use.

Ok so this just got interesting. So tell me do you recall the variables involved in using propane with the SR-1? By that mean did you see any fluctuation when going from Co2 to gas to propane gas? Or did you guys compare? Good stuff keep it coming.

we used a 40mm paintball grenade and made a short barrel for it.

filled it with propane and put a FS in the barrel and shot it.

It surprised us how far it shot it.

The 40mm has a big volume chamber so it wouldn't be very efficient.
