CCM S5 Autococker

Hey dudes. Tomorrow I'm going to look at a used S5 Autococker for sale. This will be my first ever 'cocker and first ever CCM so needless to say I'm pretty excited. And well pretty set on it despite my lack of knowledge on the marker.

THAT has to change! But I have been having some real trouble finding info on it. What do I need to know about this thing?

When was it produced?
How much did it sell for?
What's it worth now?
What are some wear items or other issues to look for?

And I understand there were changes at at least 1 point during it's production, what are they and how can I identify them?

Any info you can fill me in on please do, as there doesn't seem to be much on the webs.

OH, and well, what are you're thoughts on this 'cocker compared to others?

Thanks!

There's a plethora of information.

All you have to do is lurk around in the CCM section and search.

Here's a bone to get you started.
CCM Product Manuals / Video Series / Parts Kit 'how to'. (UPDATED!)

I am a fan of the S5. It's simple, it's clean, and it does everything with class. Yes, it's not a halfblock or super sleek milling. I'm OK with that.

I like them for the smooth look. it's super simple with no extra effort to look like anything but itself

I'm wondering more specifically about the 'cocker version though, but I guess it's pretty much the same thing. So as far as teching goes Talfuchre is infinitely helpful, but I'm still at a loss for info about the marker's production.

Price? Value? Revisions? etc.

Did CCM not produce an autococking S5?

Am I missing something in my forum searches?

Im looking at one in Toronto. All dust black, looks very clean. How much did you sell that S5 for? What have you bought them for?

My most important question is how much they were when they were new. CCM stopped making them long before I knew CCM existed you see :P

EDIT: Oh and it's a private sale (Kijiji)

CCM S5 Autococker Semi - City of Toronto Sports Goods For Sale - Kijiji City of Toronto Canada.

from the 2 tiny pictures, it looks like its in fantastic condition

$350 seems reasonable
no barrel tho (or not in pictures/listing)

its successor the s6 is still $600? new

the s5 is a sweet gun, very solid very reliable

there was a ccm history thread at one point, but i havnt seen it in awhile

S5's go from 350-450(mint)... Depending on condition. I sold 3. 2 went for 400+ and the last one sold for 250. Wasnt the greatest condition.

They did have auto trigger on S5's. But the S5 basic did not if im correct.

Only upgrade is the newer valve's so they didnt fart. Other then that. Mine was completely stock.

S5 is a great choice....but mine is the ss25. About the same as the s5 price(350-450) depending on condition. It's a bit lighter but still has the classic cock body look

Price is roughly in the $300-400 range. Depends on condition and items.

I know of three versions of the S5. You have the angel threaded feedneck bodies, the CCM threaded feedneck bodies, and you have the ones that are "S5 Basic".

CCM has semi-auto S5s. It's just a S5 with a front block.
