I use a pair of needlenose pliers or tweezers to re-install the detent in my J12

LOL! Drop the O ring down the breach. Use a dental pick or a small allen wrench to position one of the sides of the o ring in the slot. Use the small allen wrench to push that end of the o ring in the slot. Or you can unscrew your vertical feed neck and just use your finger. Good luck.

pull the valve assembly out and it drops in from the top of the bottom tube
