Anyone try modifying the palmers? Im thinking if I cut the clamp off I may or may not have to pad the feed neck out a bit. But @ $40 I would like to have an idea that it would work. The CCM one is nice but I like the idea of being able to remove it easily. As I like my modified Winchester for the woods. I just want a stick feed to participate in the local mag fed scenarios that some locals put on during the week. I may just buy a Hammer 7 just for this.

Thoughts?

Edit: I guess the clamp is removable so I may buy it and if it don't work sell it.

There are a couple people here on MCB who make stock feeds that slip into a normal clamping feedneck. I forget who exactly but someone else may know. Many have been made from a simple trip to the hardware store for some PVC or cooper pipe and then fix a feed gate to it.

If you see the marker in my profile pic, contact me. I will trade you two bags of pistachios and a shoe shine for it.

I couldn't source the Feed gate any links you know of? I could find the lil speed feed O-ring but not the cap that holds it.

Edit: Found Some

Is that a 45 or 90 elbow? Looks better built then the palmers.

I looked quick but couldnt find anything. You may be able to contact Walz here on MCB and have him make you a brass one. I think he has made a few, his work is top notch. If you wanted to try to build one yourself you could use a CCI feed gate and feed gate cap to mount onto a custom piece.

3/4 inch copper tubing, 45 degree street elbow (both ends big enough to fit the 3/4 pipe), heat shrink tubing (1 inch dia. couple of layers usually does it, builds up the outside diameter of the feed to fit the cup), and a Phantom feedgate (or chair leg/table cap). CJOttawa has a thread somewhere about it too.......they are pretty easy to make and are very durable. The bonus is that they fit inside your feed cup, or slide over the tube for offset feeds.

I agree with Origin. I've seen a raw feed go for $125-$150 I here.

That would be perfect. I contacted Empire to see if they would sell just the Feed with no response. Anyone know where you can buy them? Or you getting Sniper owners to part with them?
