S6 problem.

Hey guys, when I cock my S6 and air it up, all is well. And then when I shoot it, the gun just seems to leak air like crazy out the barrel until i re-cock it. What is wrong?

De-gas and try again. Make sure the marker is always cocked prior to airing up. Otherwise the value will remain open.

yeah i did. Apparently when I cock it, and gas it up, I get no leaks. But as soon as I fire it again, the gun leaks out the barrel like crazy until I re-cock it again.

Check your reg pressure, I'd bet that it is to low. Set it at a out 325-350psi and adjust velocity with the IVG.

Second vote for check reg pressure.

Also check the valve spring. If it is too light or worn out, it may contribute to the problem.

Take the valve apart and clean it. If there is gunk in it that would cause it to stick open.

Thanks guys! I will definitely try that. But you guys don't feel it is a valve issue do you?

If it was an issue with the valve stem it would most likely leak all the time. It could be a worn valve spring or perhaps to strong of a hammer spring. It wouldn't hurt to order new ones from CCM and maybe a new valve stem oring.

I would bet that it is the reg through. It is either to low or maybe dirty and clogged.

Thank you, I will order the new springs and orings. I hope it helps. But tonight I will play around with the valve to see.

Can you pinpoint the exact location of the leak?
