S6.5 sleeved hammer?

I noticed in this review thread that the S6.5 now has a sleeve in the hammer tube to prevent debris from entering. Is this factory standard, special request, or a prototype?

Thanks.

That isn't a sleeve. It is part of the half block CCM hammer. My S6.5 is one of the earlier one and it had that hammer from the factory.

right hammer is a ccm hammer

Thanks. Does it help stop debris from entering the lower tube? I see that slot blockers are still being sold and I wasn't sure why.

Honestly, the only thing u'll have an issue is if you take a direct hit in that slot... Does the slot blocker help in that 1 case yes I guess. The first month I got my S6.5 I got shot there like 3 times. I've had mine 3.5 yrs now and has yet to take another hit in the hammer area.

I have always assumed that it is longer to allow a longer slot to be milled. I also have assumed that the longer slot equals a faster autotrigger ability, either one I have no idea if true.
