ccm t2 return spring/pump stroke.

hey Guys I just got my T2 (used) and I was surprised to not see a return spring on it. Also It is really choppy when I go to push it back. I also get a terrible pump stroke if I dont really grab onto the pump handle and pull hard. What is wrong? Do I just need to add oil to something?

Does it have a slot blocker? Have you tightened or loosened anything such as the back block screw? If te rods aren't aligned with the backblock properly they can bind and cause some problems. If the lower tube is gummed up it can cause some pump stoke issues too. Clean, polish, align, and lube. Keep the lower tube dry. It is polished and really doesn't need lube.

no slot blocker and It seems to be binding as you said. I just took it out of the box and was kinda pissed. Because my stock phantom had a better pump stroke. This is my second pump besides my old phantom So I don't know how to set it up correctly is there a video you could refer me to?

If you want to know the ins and outs of your CCM markers go to CCM Product Manuals / Video Series / Parts Kit 'how to'. (UPDATED!) and you will find all sorts of videos of "how to".

ok well I am trying to take it apart but dont have the torque screwdriver. Also I cant remove the pin for the life of me.

Edit: I am still having trouble with the above sentence but got the pump stroke to be nice. Turns out it was grinding against the barrel so I moved the rods over by hand

Definitely, check out the manuals and videos. TF did a great job covering all the ins and out of CCM markers. Definitely came in very handy when I got my first CCM.

Go buy a torque set. Walmart has one for 7$. Watch the video

Return springs are over rAted. If you hold the pump handle like you should 99% of the time you'll be fine

When you have the pump handle off, clean out the holes the pump rods run through. Any grit in there will reduce smoothness. Qtips are your friend.
