The new S6.5

Happy Friday all!
We have been a little delayed in getting this done and out and were not quite 100% ready to start processing the wait listed orders, but here is the newest version of the CCM S6.5.

For those who may not see the biggest changes, they are: The body is now a 2 piece set-up and the detent covers are gone. Now instead of the Timmy/Spyder nub detent it will take a simple O-Ring like the T2.

Here are two S6.5s, Old style and New Style side by side for comparison.

Morgan will be posting up better pictures later today.

Looks great I was wondering what looked different other than the different color top tube to show its 2pc. The lack of eye covers is a nice touch I really like the o ring detent on the T2, nice and simple and no tiny screws to strip out or loose. If it had a cartridge valve like the new T2 concept that would be pretty amazing.

Left and Right Feed?
Will a T2 top tube fit on it?

Center feed only and the T2 top will not fit.
We will not be selling any of the components to the new S6.5 separately, only as whole guns.

Glad to see CCM cranking up the assembly line! As always, rooting for the team.

Would not choose the newer style if given a choice, but only because of the added labor of cleaning out paint between the tubes when I had a T2. I like the easy wipe-down routine with the older S6.5...at least the rear sled is still easier to handle than the T2.

Main question at this point is when/if S6's will re-appear if S6.5 bodies aren't getting milled, either...

What are the differences between this and the T2? They look almost identical to my (non-savvy) eye.

Lack of non-centerfeed makes me sad but I know that's what most people prefer nowadays.

This is a 6.5.

The top tube just bolts on now.

It is as always been center feed.

The detent covers are gone. Covers are expensive to replace.

It now uses an o-ring detent between the tubes. Detents now cost $3 per hundred from an oring supply place.

It actually takes a little longer to make but it is a better product.

Exactly like ccmmachinist said.. The new style with the oring detent is awesome. I own the brown / black one .. I love it.. Two torx screws and the tops off.. Everything else is the same old 6.5.. I think it looks cleaner without detents also... And maybe has a future for off set feed necks down the line one day in the future?
