Old pump handle with newer guide rods?
I've got my old 97-spec mini CCM kit here. If I were to just buy the 2k spec guide rod assembly (and return spring) would I be able to swap the pump handle directly, or have there been too many updates? I know the pump arm is slightly longer, but I have no problems threading the arm further (tho stainless is a PITA)
Or would it be worth trading this kit for a newer one?

I think the handles should interchange just fine, the guide rod was made a little longer to add a little stability if I remember right. I think the guide rod holes and the mounting bolt holes are the same on both pre2k and post2k kits.

There should be no issues, threading SS is not that big of a pain, if you use a good sharp die. I thread SS rod for my builds all the time.
