ccm grip frame screw
I see that the ccm frames extend to the end of the body, my question is, which of the two screw holes in the rear of the cocker body (grip frame or beaver tail mounting hole) do the ccm frames use?
The reason I am asking is that I am planning on installing one on a new style pump karni and the beaver tail screw actually holds the IVG in place somewhat.

the forward 2 holes are the grip frame screw holes. like you said that 3rd hole is there for beavertails and sometimes holding the ivg in place. on '98 and newer cockers (like your carnie) that hole is threaded so you can install a beaver tail. because most (all?) ccm frames have built in beaver tails the ccm guys covere that 3rd hole with their frames. you are probably gonna have to mill down or cut off *gasp* part of the ccm gripframe in order to do what you are planning.

They actually mill out the frame at that spot where the beavertail screw would be . I have an old cocker body with the old style ivg and the screw to hold the ivg can still be used. You should not have any problems.

This is true for the Series 6 frame. They actually make two different types of frames. The one for the Series 5 Basic had no submerged screws and less milling - that is about it as far as differences - but I just wanted to be complete.

What about leaving the frame alone and using a set screw in the hole to hold the IVG.

moving back on topic...
the reason that I would prefer to not simply go with the set screw method is that if the velocity required adjustment via the IVG then the frame would have to be removed to accomplish this.
However I would not cut the frame, that would be silly. I just want to know if I can get a frame with 2 holes in the back.
