CCM selling to Canada

To our friends and customers in Canada. There has been some questions as to why CCM does not offer for sale items in our e-bay store to Canada?
Ok,here is what happens when we try to add Canada to our shipping destination. We get a red lettered message that says we cannot sell these items thru e-bay because they are prohibited items.

So,I ask Laurie to contact e-bay to get an answer. This is Laurie's question to e-bay.

Question Text
Hi,
We manufacture and sell after market paintball parts and accessories. I
receive notices from eBay saying we can increase sales by up to 6% by
selling to Canada. The Firearms, Weapons and Knives guidelines say that
paintball guns are permitted if they have a barrel plug and parts or
accessories are permitted if they are clearly marked as being for
paintball only.
When I try to list parts for sale to Canada I receive a notice saying US
sellers may only offer domestic shipping on these products.
Can we sell paintball parts and accessories to Canada? If yes, what
specifically do I have to do to be able to add Canada to our listings?

Ok,got that.Pretty simple and straight forward. Now here is e-bays answer.

Subject: Re: EN62827 PI Response to your email concerning eBay's ended listing policies. (KMM287595093V83216L0KM)

Dear Laurie,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to paintball guns.

We regret any confusion. Paintball guns and accessories can be sold
domestically in the United States or domestically in Canada. However, it
is not permitted to offer these items from the US to Canada or
vice-versa.

For more information on the eBay Firearms, Weapons, and Knives policy,
please go to:

Firearms, Weapons and Knives

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reply to this
email and let us know.

Sincerely,

Jenna J.
eBay Customer Support

They own the site and they make the rules. We just ask our Canadian customers to call us.
Canadians are already buying off of the e-bay store .The postage is the same as US postage. The only postage that is not the same is for complete markers. Please call our sales office for markers.

If anybody has solid verifiable information (no hearsay please) about selling off of e-bay to Canada, Laurie would appreciate the information.

She can be reached at laurie@machineshopdpm.com

I gotta say that that is messed up.
I have bought everything from parts to complete markers before on ebay without a single problem.
In all of these cases the parts were shipped to me from the states.

Thanks for the info, it's always a breath of fresh air when a shop goes out of their way to accommodate us.

Ebay's policy used to just be on replica's and airsoft, but apparently they've changed it. With this info I won't hesitate to order directly from your store.

yeah, i've had a couple conversations with the shortbus people at ebay customer care...

"yeah, sell to the united states... we allow it, until we suddenly don't and we state things are illegal..."

seriously, i had one of their 'Legal Team" email me about a year ago telling me that it was illegal to ship paintball markers to Canada...

I replied with the canadian code law about what qualifies as a fire arm, the respective entry in NAFTA for 'air guns' and so on and so forth...

they never emailed me back....

I've always thought it was a weird policy of ebay's. Hasn't stopped me from buying at least 3 or 4 markers off ebay with sellers in the US. Meh.

I think it should simply be an unwritten rule that you sell to Canada.

Makes me wonder if you could put in - We sell domestically to the U.S. and we sell to 'other countries' please e-mail to see if we ship to your country.

Something like that.

Custom opened and inspected my Wood stocked PPS Hurricane, and they didn't have any issues with it at all.
