Problems with S6 using HPA I recieved TF's 45/45 tank today ( :D ) and just got it filled. But when the gun isn't cocked air rapidly flows down the barrel. When the gun is cocked the leak stops completely. The gun shoots just fine with Co2. Any ideas? |
increase the output pressure of the reg, or decrease the spring tension (velocity). |
That sucks man. We know the tank is just fine because it worked on my gun.. I would do what the above poster said. You might wanna wait till you have a chrono, though. |

I've always had to cock my S6 before airing it up so it doesnt blow air down the barrel. |
Yeah thats normal with all cockers but after cocking the gun before airing it up and firing a shot it leaks down the barrel. |
Turn the reg up. |
Is it only doing it with this tank or does it do it with other air sources? Is the tank adjustable output, low pressure, high pressure? |
I can answer these questions.. It did it with my tank and another guys at the field a few weeks ago. It's a high pressure Crossfire 45/45 regulator with Nitroduck Toughskin tank. |
I got it working it was just the reg. Thanks for all of the help! |
sorry to thread steal a little, but I'm having sort of the same problem with mine.. except with co2, and it does it all the time but I cannot hear it when the bolt is forward as well.. should I just up the reg pressure? It shoots fine and isn't a bad leak but its annoying.. |
