du-du-dust finish??

i've seen people post that the dust finish on their S6's is easy to scratch...

for those of you who have one, is this true?

Yes, it is true. Also a bit harder to clean.

Yes, dust finishes in general are easier to scratch... it's because you don't have a smooth surface which allows for things to slide along it.. instead you have a surface made up of microscopic peaks and valleys... you run something along the gun (scratch it) and you take peaks off and there goes your ano.

You can give yourself manicure with it if that tells you anything lol. ihave had 2 in dust so far any more in gloss. I would get the gloss if it were me, I wish you the best in your decision. They shoot amazing.

Yeah, gloss is a much tougher finish, but most companies charge extra for the polish job.

Hard black and hard clear exist.

Hard fancy doesnt.

Blazers and stabilizers sport hard black anodizing. Its matte but not "dust" which is just sand or bead blasted. They are tumbled.

it doesn't necessarily have to be dust, i would just rather have a not-shiny black.

the polish black is what i will most likely be going with, but maybe if i can convince the peeps at CCM to sell me a raw S6, i could try getting PPS to do the hardcoat black.
