I know some of you think that it's a sin to cut up a a S6, but I personally think that it looks nice. I wouldn't do it to mine if I had one though. I have wanted to mid block my S5rf though. Not disrupting the body style which I love so much. That being said I still haven't been able to bring myself to do it yet. Even though I want to get it re-anodized Gloss black an re-laser engraved.

If and when you anno the S5 are you worried about the etched 'CCM' and 'S5'? The top tube...as per HB specs (0.32") I see yours is longer, what are you going to do for a bolt? When you finish slotting the hammer, which bolt pin are you gonna use? I'm quite impressed with your milling on the S6, about time someone milled one lol. I didn't mill an extra slot in the S5 body because I will not be using a dual arm kit or re-annoing.

The owner is gonna take care of the anno. The top tube is 3.345 so the sled has to be .145" (3.345-3.2=.145) shorter on the front side. so the rest of the kit should stay the same. I guess cutting a CCM or mid/half blocking in general is an acquired taste. I don't see what the big deal is about cutting CCM guns. worrptangl is right the gouges were deep. I wasn't just gonna try and sand them out, that would truly be a travesty. I guess I wanted something different. There are a ton of S6s in Hawaii. A ton and they are all beautiful and they are all the same with a different color or color scheme. Any way still got some plans in mind for the S6. Stay tuned. |

The excellence can be seen in the milling - that is more objective. I say, if you are happy and the milling is damned good (which it is) then SUCCESS! Screw us - it isn't our marker. TF

| Seasoned Member | i see nothing wrong with halfblocking that S5, its a block i do love the midblocked sled you made, someone in Rapture midblocked thier S6 and the JCM midblock sled was horrible in there....too much vertical play, and the pull pin hole in the sled was too big as well it would be nice if CCM had a milling made for midblocking, many nice bodies look weird without the backblock, i seen an orracle that way and it looked weird |

| MCB Member | With a mid or half block I dont have to stay far away from my gun. With a back block, I do. Hate back blocks.. I would buy either one of those finished, id buy the s6 as is. I like them a lot.

The 8" barrel allows for maneuvering around open doorways and hallways with greater ease. The platoon split into squads. There's a squad of 5 down the hall ahead of you checking out your 52" Sony LCD and 5 behind you in the bedroom going through your wife's underwear drawer. Toss a flash bang into the bedroom to buy some time. Rock and roll on the squad lifting the TV. Now, with your 8" barrel effortlessly pivot around and easily eliminate the disoriented bedroom intruders clutching their ears from the flash-bang. Since the other squads are outside the residence, in reserve awaiting orders, simply detonate the pre-positioned claymores hidden around the perimeter to finish the operation. All because of the short barreled rifle... -Lrrpie-CT Misc Stuff for sale |
