It never hurts to think out side the box and honestly we knew it would be done eventually.....I am glad to see a job that looks so clean! (it still hurts to get a gun back for repair that some tard decided to randomly take a dremel to, to "mill" the body themselves. It seldom pans out the way one might think!) |

| Newbie Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Honolulu, Hawaii | Thanks Mel, I couldn't bear looking at the gouges from the previous owner, I didnt even run the gun before I cut it because of the condition. People don't understand that a Dremel is a very useful tool just not the right one when it comes to cutting a gun. I think you know the owner of the S5 (Jon aka "Claymixer") and I promise not to cut Barry's beautiful red and silver S6. Keep up the great work. Update I ran the S6 this weekend and it runs great (like any S6). I was using a BM hammer at the time. |

| MCB Member Join Date: Sep 2006 | HK: Just out of curiosity... did you get a chance to weigh the body defore/after? Like I said, I'm just curious to hear how much weight got milled off. If it's under 2lbs w/ reg., feedneck, guts, etc. I'd say that was a pretty good job. |

| Newbie Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Honolulu, Hawaii | shiba- i dont have a nice scale to weigh it. i might be able to find one in the shop. i didnt weigh it before so i have no clue how much i cut off. i plan on lightening up the grip frame and pump handle. i can try and weigh those prior to milling. sly- as far as making it a halfblock, probably not. i have a few halfblocks, but the line of an s6 wont suit a hb very well. i like it as a midblock. pump- this is my gun, i dont care if your gun has gouges. nahnah playing. give me your stuff and ill cut it. i did your bolts didnt i? i gave you teflon, now what? |
