Air Efficiency question.

I just recently aquired an SS-25, not sure of the year, which is my first CCM Marker. Don't worry, I will post up pics in a day or so. So my question is, what is the range of the amount of shots that I can get with a 12 gram, a 13/3000 tank, and a 45/4500 tank? I have a friend who religiously plays with his CCM pump, not sure of the model, but he tells me that he only gets 600 shots from his 45/4500. I was wondering if I could increase the efficiency by changing out the valve to either a Palmer's LT Valve or an AKA Tornado Valve, or by fine tuning with a spring kit. The only reason why I ask is that I typically get about 350 to 400 shots per 1000 PSI with my Viking that is using a 45/4500 tank and a Deadlywind Barrel.

WWJD? Sell to Heebs.

WTB: Pulse Loaders (2) functional but condition doesn't matter so much.

Well that is what the customer said and you know, the customer is always right (even if they are wrong ). You also forget that the Droid is the most efficient stock spool valved marker ever made. It only took like 6 years to figure out how to do that.

Sniper pressures and spring settings affect efficiency quite a bit.

Indeed. I have heard that CCM guns are not overly efficient due to the springing for smooth pump strokes. 600 does seem a tad low, but not entirely impossible (again, based on what I have heard).

Actually, 600 is probably about right.

Source, my S5.

CCM valve spring is super weak and very inefficient. Go to a stiffer valve spring; you'll have a harder pump stroke, but near double the efficiency.

I have a S6 prototype and get more than that out of mine now that I turned the reg pressure up. The prototype is mini'd and TF suggested I try it at 450-500 and it has made a drastic difference. I use a 68/4500 at scenarios and got between 1200-1500 at the last 2 day I went to.
