86'frame on a cocker

Is there any way to modify the newer 86' frames to work on a cocker with pneumatics? I think a person would have to drill another hole near where the at one is in order to actuate the 3way..

anyway, it'd be a cool cocker if it got finished with one of these

I think it won't work, as the trigger itself is not a traditional slider.
You can see the trigger is held by a pin to the right of the AT hole. It pivots and is not a slider. You need one of the older model delrin sliders in order for it to work.

Thats what I was afraid of... it seems like there would be a place somewhere where I could mill a slot and make it work.. possibly with a custom 3way rod..

You could do a pneumatic trigger set up with it. However I've still got to test that idea myself.

That doesn't matter. There are hinge frames made just for pneu's. The 86 won't work on a mech cocker without mods, but more frames than just the sliders will work on mech cockers.

yeah, if you want a single finger swing on a mech, you should look into getting a dye frame

What if you reverse the autotrigger lever out to the right side of the frame and make a 3-way rod that attaches to that? I do not have my frame in front of me so I would have to look at it myself but its an option.

Or if you know someone with a mill that can fab a trigger for you with the 3-way slot you could be getting somewhere. then you just have to slot the frame. See the old S5 and J2 frames for ref.

Too many ideas in my head.

pulling the trigger will not actuate the AT cam. I know, I tried.

pulling the AT cam however, WILL cause the trigger to move.
