update

Well, I played my S6 for the first time today... Had to borrow a winchester hopper since it seems I've managed to lose all my small hoppers, but it was a blast other than that. Did have to tighten one macroline fitting 1 full turn for a seal, and chrono down slightly (1st shot 299, 2nd shot 304).

Shot exactly 1 bag through it, using my Empire .684 barrel out of my kit - shot amazingly, no barrel breaks / chops all day. Last game of the day had one of my most fun rounds ever as I really played the marker to its limits, doing quickdraw snapshots vs semis - the instinctive aim came really easily with this one, rarely missed by more than a couple inches with snapshots at reasonable distances.

Definitely satisfied with the performance of the marker, the pump stroke improved noticeably though the day (was barely rough at all out of the box, but it seems to polish itself slightly as you play, may yet improve even more).

It was more or less my first experience with an autotrigger - while I will use it, it does kinda feel like cheating even against semis / electros.

I think I will be working on obtaining a return spring and hitman mod for it, possibly the carbon-fiber pump eventually as well although that would be for looks rather than performance.

Did notice a substantial drop in velocity as the day went on, possibly due to how easily the IVG moves, or possibly just a change in the paint as the day warmed up - I'll check it over the chrono tomorrow and see what the situation is.

All in all, more fun than even I expected (and I had some high expectations!)

Non-stop compliments and the inevitable "How much extra?" to which I answered that I wasn't sure (I try not to look at price tags once I decide to buy something - sometimes the tag brings me to my senses!) but I'm pretty sure it was the same as a dust black, I just had to wait for one to be made.

On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it an easy 9. 10 is even possible, but I tend to think it pretty much has to be custom-made to reach that.

Oh, and I'm playing it again tomorrow.... So happy

Hi All,
*
I have a hard anodized S6. It is one of the best markers that I have ever used!
*
I bought a WGP Kaner Barrel set for it on eBay.
*
With a proper paintball/barrel match it shoots 285 +- 3 FPS all day long.
*
I can't think of a thing to tweak on it......Well I did get the long pump handle for it..

Can you explain about that 'hard anodizing' and post pictures of it?
