Dang...they have handheld magnets that can produce 1.25T field strength...that is no joke. Keep in mind the worlds strongest l-helium cooled superconducting magnets are currently able to go only up to around 18T.

United Nuclear - Neodymium magnets
Expensive as hell but well worth it.
I'd be down to use magnets as a means to return the pump but, uh...

Which ones would I get?

EDIT: To hell with it, might as well by the assorted magnets package, amirite?

The small circular ones are what would be best for this application IMO.

My only concern with using magnets in that, as everyone knows, the field gets really strong closer to the magnet and week relatively quickly as you go further out.
So by the time you have enough force to get a strong positive return the last inch or so on the back stroke of the pump will be very hard.

But the best thing to do would be just to buy some and experiment.

There is also K&J Magnetics (Strong Neodymium Magnets Rare Earth K&J Magnetics) and they are a good deal cheaper and have a much larger variety of shapes, strengths, and sizes.
I'm thinking the ones midway down the page here are the best bet.

Why not just get the CCM return spring? I find that it's a nice light return that is just enough to keep the pump handle forward during normal use.

Those killer magnets do sound interesting...

I'd like to know why CCM doesnt just include the return spring with every kit...I was kind of expecting one.

Just go find an old time hardware store and graze the compression springs. You'll find just the compression strength that will suit YOU.

I do not understand why people have such a hard time finding return springs

Because Ace Hardware, Lowes, and Home Despot do not have any useable springs.

Magnets... The way to the future navigational energy device, and every other means of perpetual propulsion needed to move stuff IMHO.

Looking at some for my pump return needs, and maybe for my lower tube. Not that one.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
