Just wondering....

When WGP was purchased a few years ago, and they enforced the intellectual property card shutting down all the aftermarket cocker manufacturers, how did CCM remain able to produce theirs?

Are they made under license?

I believe that is why CCM is only making pumps as of now.

Some one else will know more though.

Only a T2 can do that.

The patents that WGP holds IIRC does not cover the body of the marker - nor pumps. It has to do with pneumatic automation.

IIRC WGP does not hold a patent for the pneumatic operation.

The have the name "Autococker" trademarked as well as the "form factor" of the gun. That's it.

I imagine CCM got out because it was the cheapest, quickest way to go. I don't think they ever produced all that many AC's anyway.

they hold no patents, they used the same approach SP did. WGP ATTEMPTED to enforce trade dress rights (IE, the same thing that covers the shape of a cocacola bottle) against Splatt attack/AKA back in the 90's over the revenge/VLM bodies over the use of the back block but had the case dismissed. When K2/WGP sent out their cease and desist letters Glenn Palmer fired right back even though he wasn't targeted directly pressing his claims. Like SP's results, companies folded or shifted products rather then attempt to fight against a much stronger company (patent law is not about who is right or wrong, its who has the deepest pockets to drag down their opponent)
