They are the same thing; well, aside from the cosmetic milling on the main body. Functionally they are identical. Really comes down to which one you like the looks of...

well first off they are NOT the same lol

i have both

well i have an s6 and a J2L

now i thought the pump stroke could not get better than the s6, I WAS WRONG!!

the j2l's pump is the smoothest lightest pump EVER lol

i can practically exhale on the pump handle and it will cock.

the s6 is still a tad LIGHTER like a couple OZs

i would go with the new j2

OK, so WHY is the pump smoother and lighter on the J2L?

My guess is that it's psychosomatic as I can't see ANY difference in design.

Talked to Rod - there IS no difference besides milling and aesthetics.

I am getting one soon (thanks to CCM) and I will do a full review and manual.

Pump performance is the same too. The ONLY difference is the cosmetic milling on the exterior of the main body. I was at CCM last week and saw them at every stage from raw parts to completed markers. Internally they (S6 and J2L) are identical; as are the external parts, pump components, detents, frame, etc.
