Findings on Efficiency between the CCM S6 and the T2 - Work in Progress.
This thread is open to those who want to measure the efficiency of the T2.
Also, concerning the S6 - the difference of efficiency.
I will continue to measure and post in this thread as we gain findings.
Here is an initial measurement of weight differences in the hammer:
S6 Hammer: weighs 1.55 ounces.
S6 Hammer: WITH Cocking Rod weighs: 1.95 ounces.
T2 Hammer: weighs 1.65 ounces.
The weight difference is .30 ounces or 8.5 grams.
This could cause efficiency differences.
What needs to be done:
1) Use a small tank (13 CI would be good) to measure efficiency of the T2.
2) Measure efficiency of the S6 with as many variables being the same (Barrel, Bore, Paint, Tank, and day)
3) Measure spring pressure of the T2 and the S6 (they are different springs) - a fish scale may work here.

I was gonna do something along the lines of: same barrel and same reg on both the T2 and my S6 using the same paint and see what kind of variations I get.
Just spitballin here but I would think spring pressure shouldn't be a factor as long as both guns are setup at the same velocity. Sweetspot both regs so each gun gets what it's going to get then shoot the same paint, bore, etc.
How tough is it to accurately fill a 13ci tank? I was borrowing a small tank once and the toolbags at the field over filled it *quick*. Not that I can think of a better way to do it...just asking.

I agree - I will use the same reg.
Spoon - the spring IS different - the spring pressure then would likely be different - but it needs to be tested.
I'm not saying it's not different. I am just saying that if someone is concerned about efficiency of the CCM T2 vs the CCM S6 it may not matter as much *what* the spring is if most people aren't going to have access to different springs or aren't going to do more than air it up and shoot.
To me it seems like it depends on what question you are answering. You could ask 1) What's the efficiency of the markers out of the box and how do they compare? or you could ask 2) How do we make them most efficient? or even 3) Try to postulate what differences in the construction of the markers is the cause behind the efficiency.
If you are going for a deeper analysis (2 or 3) then I see where measuring the spring becomes essential. For question 1...maybe not so much.
For me - verifying it actually IS more efficent is step one. ;)
This is not an inquiry as to how to make it MOST efficient.

I'll play with the 13ci on the T2 tonight and get some numbers.
Sadly, I don't have an S6 at the moment to compare, but I'll be able to get baseline numbers for a "stock" T2.
