And yes we did have a lot of fun, some of which I even got with a digital video camera, but as the wife and I got home around 7pm last night, none of it has been uploaded yet, sorry. We had the wife and I, 4 of our friends from Jefferson City who haven't played before or much, 1 of their friends from Paola (never played), a battle buddy of mine from Kansas City (also never played), and the inimitable Silver joined us as well. I attempted to provide gear for everyone, but as I only have so many masks, I did manage to provide enough markers, tanks, and hoppers for 6 of us - 2 Infinity Legends, Tippmann M98C and ProCarb, Azodin Kaos Pump, and The Rhys (Spyder Flash). The Rhys got passed around a bit and worked a treat, as did everything else in my stable. This, more than anything else, is why I own the markers I own - I want them to work each and every time I go out and don't want to spend a lot of time fiddling with them.

Highlight from the day: My battle buddy and I dashed along the right tape off the break, and the hopper fell off his rental (he hit the front sight feedneck release on the Tippy M98 rental), so I hand him my Azodin KP while I fix the Tippy. He fires the KP once, and then turns to me in a panic, "it's broke, it won't fire!" Pause. "It's a pump, you idiot. Pump it and pull the trigger again."

There was a lot of laughing and a lot of fun, but no other story sticks out in my head other than that one. My battle buddy is hooked hard, and got the remainder of the 2 and a half cases of paint we bought as a group at the beginning of the day, to encourage him to return and fling some more paint. The rest of the group had tons of fun, though we all got shot up a lot, as there were a ton of folks playing at Jaeger's.

And Timmy - I was the guy in the dark hawaiian shirt walking out with Silver there at the end. I'll swing by and talk with you more in person next time. This time was just too much herding the newbie friends to get much spare time to come see you.

Oh man that is too funny. I can just imagine the look on his face right now when he is explaining that to you. Hands down, you rock for getting a group of newbies together and everyone having a good time. It takes alot of work and it sounds like you did a great job. I love hearing that you just switched markers on the spot so your buddy could keep on playing...even it was for only one shot until you explained how it works.
