Firefly fans Unite or divide....

Don "Badger" Grubish, with the help of the Minnesota Militia Paintball Team and Splat Tag, is proud to announce The Battle of Serenity Valley charity paintball event. The event is on July 20th, but registration is open now. Tippmann has promised a X-7 as a prize for pre-registered players only. You can even pick your side; Browncoats or the Alliance.

Players should know that all proceeds for this event
will go to help the Minnesota Military Families Foundation.
They are a Minnesota-based charitable organization dedicated to
help families of soldiers serving overseas fighting
the war on terror in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Splat Tag gets good crowds. For open play days - 120 is pretty normal. For big games, scenarios - couple hundred isn't uncommon - for the giant big games I think they've had up to 800.

Anyone check me on these numbers?

I like the reaver idea - did you talk to Damage Inc. about doing it?

Militia won't be playing. We're running the event, reffing and stuff.

Numbers are close. My first Giant Big Game was about 840 players.

Damage Inc has already been approached.

Thanks, Rogue, for starting this thread. Yes, I'm hosting my very first scenario game, and am having a ton of interest. I plan on making this very fun for everyone, and no complicated missions for the generals. I think this will be a perfect blend of challenge, along with high intense action.

Here is the poster I created for the game:

I hate you all so much.

The game I've been lusting after for 5 years now, and it has to happen when I'm way too far away to make it. You guys suck.

Psst. You should make it some time in May. Just sayin'.

Ummmmm I didn't know there would be a calling for people paying for a poster, but ok... otherwise, just let me know where you live and I'll ship one to you.

People, I'm sorry this game is far away from where you live, or not on a weekend you can make it. However, I DO know that if you can make it to the game, it's going to blow your mind!!!! I have cool missions, great people to play Reavers and River, great generals to lead you, and EXCELLENT prizes to give away.

Please don't let distance distract you. If we need to pick you up at the airport, we'll work with you to get you to the game. If you need to camp, we will provide space for you at the fields. This is about funding the Minnesota Military Families Foundation, not about making profit. We want a great game, and great players to attend.

You have a good six months to put a road-trip together. I will NOT disappoint you guys.
