| going to UMD right now, but i live in the cities ... EDIT - hey! MN is a great state! wonderful education system, home of many world wide corporations (genreal mills, best buy, medtronic ...), with tons of outdoor activities in the summer and winter. i wouldn't live anywhere else! sure every morning walking to class i curse the winter cold and the way my hair freezes solid on my way to chem lab, but i wouldn't have it any other way. the Duluth area is absolutely great, with skiing, hiking, camping, the lake, the harbor ... MN is a great place to live, and im told it is cheaper than many places in US.

| CP has it right, there is many things to do here, but when you wake up like I did yesterday morning and its in the negative digits and the wind is howling. I think about going farther south.

| psh, If you can't drive in the snow in the winter time get out of the state! I think I learned how to drive at 12 and learned how to drive on snow at 14+-1 year. . . . That and snowmobiles are a great thing to take to school! ![]()

| They stopped allowing kids to take snowmobiles to my wife's old school for a while after a kid went under a guy wire for a telephone pole and lost his head right in front of the school parkinglot |
