I was informed today not to make too many plans the next couple of weeks as I may have to make a trip to Indiana for 3 to 7 days sometime in the first 2 weeks of November. I am going to be at Camp Atterbury starting god knows when (don't know when it starts and don't know for how long... how's that for operational security? not even our own troops know whats going on), and looking for somewhere to possibly fling paint in the area, somewhere that's got good rec-play or a scenario. Any suggestions?

Well its been a few years since I have been back but. . . Gator Joes, Splat Factory & Armies of Darkness where all decent. The last 2 where in door to boot. Armies is also in Down Town Indianapolis and if its still open and hasn't changed in the years I have been gone has a hell of a Halloween floor plan.

Thanks for the info! Found the Dark Armies website, which looked really neat, just didn't have a lot of actual info of their field. Okay, great, a 3 hour session of play is going to cost me $37 if I don't have my own gear, but what if I provide my own marker, tank, mask, hopper, and pod pack, how many paintballs do I get and at what price? Are CO2 fills included in that price? Confusing as hell. And I'm not chiding you, Mstrtal, I'm pretty sure you had nothing to do with the field other than point it out to me, but I had to vent my spleen. Let this be an example to all you budding entrepeneurs out there of how NOT to portray your business on the internet - pretty only takes you so far, but good, solid information is key. Not able to find any info on Splat Factory, any good linkage you can offer up?

Stay away from Dark Armies....they don't really want real paintball players there. Check out Paintball Indiana in Martinsville. It's close to Atterbury and used to be the Gator Joe's that Mstrtal mentioned. |

Sounds good guys, I'll keep pinging my superiors to get dates nailed down. In the meantime, it's time to dig out my paintball gear that's sat in my bag, dirty, since I last played in May (damn move... *grumblegrumble*). Fortunately, I have a bunch of Tippmanns, so I'm not too worried about getting SOMETHING up and running.

| AKA...The Gobbler! | White River Paintball - Indianapolis, Indiana's Paintball Field and Store Headquarters would be your best bet. It is about 30 miles outside of Indy. Big scenarios and nice fields. A little on the pricey side, but far better than a cheap, sucky field. I would rather spend a little extra and have a good time. Well run field with a nice proshop and helpful staff.
