There is a problem.
Gas up the gun, and fire a few shots. The first couple worked fine, but then the rear receiver worked itself loose, and the gun went cyclic.

The pin-method I used didn't work.

So, I'm just going to try and drill the frame into the receiver. Instead of using the REntalZ, I'm going to try Black Splash" MegaZ. The rear screw is already stripped, so might as well drill into it.

So why no drilling on the rear of the spyder frame? Is that completely out of the question?

The problem is that the mount of the receiver is directly ABOVE the solenoid. There is no easy way to drill into the frame to add a 10/32 screw.
I did drill PARTIALLY into the frame, so I could insert a "pin" that threaded into the receiver.

One idea I had was to drill a horizontal hole, tapped, so I could screw in a "set screw" that would secure the pin from moving.

But, the adapter I made bolts right onto my black MegaZ with the stripped receiver mount. I'll see what I can rig up this weekend.

I got it all figured out.
Turns out there is a ton of metal between the hammer spring, and rear ASA. Plenty of room to drill/tap without any risk of screwing anything up.

So, only took a few minutes to get the EFrame hooked up to the MegaZ:

So far, seems to cycle perfect, and nothing is coming loose. The adapter is a bit rough, and.... pink. But now that I know it works, I'll probobly strip it down, and polish it silver. Seems like that will match the anno pattern.

The forward receiver can still detach like normal. I'll probobly use a rental-z style thumb-screw in case I need to strip.

Now all I need is paint, and a working siphon tank.....
Also looking for a vert short braided stainless hose. I'm missing the hardline, so I swapped in a macroline to do some testing. I must admit its a bit odd watching the liquid co2 IN THE HOSE.
I'd like to be able to use a stainless hose WITH a quick/disconnect, but it doesnt not seem like there is enough room to connect directly accross. Instead having the fittings point up, with a large bend in the hose?

Pretty sure clear macroline isn't rated for Co2 pressures...

But cool as all hell nonetheless!

That's just a thing of beauty.

Have you noticed any drop off with the higher firing rate?

Nick, you should have a siphon tube in your mail anyday.
Any idea what kind of BPS you can expect with that frame?
You'll hafta get some video of it firing. That oughta make some agg kiddies heads explode, seeing that rate of fire on CO2 without shootdown.

I picked up the frame from PTLE here. It came from a Spyder Imagine? I'm not sure how to adjust the BPS, but on F/A and Burst it seems to be set for around 8bps. The manual says it has faster f/a speeds, but havnt figured it out.
However, on Semi, it can easily be raked much faster.

Honestly, I wasnt too worried about performance. I mostly just wanted to see if it could be done, given the issues with the modular frame, FPS adjuster, vert ASA, etc. But since it wasnt that difficult, I'll eventually make a "how to" for the site. Perhaps I'll pay Legion to make a batch of "Spyder Frame" adapters?

So far, I've only tested it using 12grams, since there is no local places to fill tanks. The nearest place is 4 towns over, and they are only open 1 day a week. So, no hurry with the siphon.

Kinda happy that I got that black MegaZ working. Both the rear and forward mounts for the stock frame were messed up. Plus the sear was bad too. It was a total basket case.... but, you never know what you get with Ebay.
