| Seasoned Member Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Milwaukee Wisconsin | Forstner bits work vary well but you have to have a drill press to use them. I used a hole saw and a chisel to clear out the back of mine as I do not have all the tools I'd like to. I imagine that a lathe with the bit in the chuck and the stock attached to the tool rest somehow would work really well too... There are many ways to attack this project and no wrong answers. |

| Lord humungus the Mod | You can get giant 2" ball nose end mills for around the $50 range. You would just need the swing for the long stock. You also rig your own set-up with a big drill press. -Jake
